Have you ever dreamed of flying through the sky on a bunch of balloons? If you can imagine it, you can draw it! Learn how to draw balloons with the help of this easy drawing guide.

A balloon is a familiar children's toy and party decoration, a symbol of birthdays, celebrations, and fun. But the balloon started out as a scientific tool. Michael Faraday invented the first rubber balloon in 1824 in order to experiment with gases.

Really, balloons trace their history back even farther, when humans filled animal bladders with air.

In cartoons and movies, bunches of balloons are sometimes used to lift a person or a character off the ground in the manner of a hot air balloon.

Examples include the film Up!, when many balloons were used to lift an entire house, as well as the time Winnie the Pooh used a large balloon to reach the honey bees high up in a tree.

Did you know? At least one person has flown through the air at the end of balloon strings. Jonathan Trappe has attached giant helium balloons to lawn chairs, boats, and even tiny houses.
